9:00 AM

Cruise Away from Cruz Bay

Departure and North Shore Cruise

  • Departure: Begin your adventure with a pickup in Cruz Bay, St. John. 
  • Scenic Cruise: Head off down the North Shore of St. John, taking in the island’s beauty. 
  • Onboard Refreshments: Enjoy a fresh fruit platter and cool drinks prepared by the crew. 
  • Island Appreciation: Almost 2/3 of St. John is National Park meaning there are vast expanses of green uninhabited land that enhance the beauty of the area. From the water you can spot sugar mill ruins that give you a look into the deep history of this island that was once inhabited by the Dutch. Gorgeous beaches also dot the coastline and once the boat is moored you are free to swim in and explore them.

Enjoy the Water

Snorkeling and Swimming Adventure

  • First Stop: Choose from top snorkeling spots like Trunk Bay, Francis Bay, Maho Bay, Waterlemon Cay, Henley Cay, or Hawksnest Bay on St. John. Near St. Thomas, options include Buck Island, Little St. James, and Great St. James.
  • Activities: Snorkel among colorful fish, coral, and sea turtles. The sandy, grass-covered sea floors of Francis Bay and Maho Bay are excellent for spotting turtles and rays.
  • Turtle Watching: Even from the boat, watch for turtles surfacing. They typically pop their heads above water 3 times before diving back down.
  • Tip: Your best bet if you are really into the underwater life is to talk to your captain to figure the best spots to visit during your charter based on conditions and how crowded the area is with other snorkelers.

Keep an eye out for turtles surfacing for air!

People often joke that if you don’t spot a turtle while snorkeling here, you must have had your eyes closed. The turtles are very docile, and you can follow along as they glide through the water, giving them space and respect by not trying to touch them.

Sea turtles can hold their breath for long periods of time, getting longer as they age.  When they do come up for air, they usually pop their head above water 3 times before diving back down.  This head pop can be seen from the boat so be sure to be looking for our sea friends even if you don’t get in the water.

Beach Exploration and Lunch Options

  • Lovango Island: A beautiful spot to stop for a snorkel or perhaps go ashore to grab some lunch and a drink at the bar.
  • Snorkel or go ashore for lunch at “The Sandpit”.
  • Enjoy wood-fired flatbreads, gourmet bowls, and signature cocktails.
  • Browse boutique shops on the island.
  • Water Island (near St. Thomas): Another fabulous possibility to get off the boat and enjoy some beach time.
  • Relax on the beach.
  • Grab lunch or cocktails at Dinghy’s Beach Bar.
  • Unique Boat-Access-Only Floating Restaurants: Around St. John and St. Thomas, there are two very unique restaurants that are only accessible by boat. Lucky for you, Voodoo and Vorado can both get you to both without a problem:
  • Lime Out (Coral Bay, St. John): Located in Coral Bay on the South Side of St. John.

    This small lime green boat can deliver some of the best tacos with fresh ingredients on a daily basis. Your crew will provide you with the menu earlier in your trip, so you can choose the tacos you wish to try.

    Once, we arrive the tacos will be ready to be delivered to our boat to be enjoyed while relaxing onboard or you can choose to swim over to one of Lime Out’s Lily Pad floats to eat your tacos while the fish swim by your feet. Take time to kick back and maybe try one of their specialty cocktails as well.
  • Pizza Pi (Christmas Cove, Great St. James): This boat is anchored in the cove off of the uninhabited island of Great St. James located near St. Thomas.

    Pizza Pi offers many fun and delicious handcrafted pizzas, stromboli, Caesar salad and their own specialty cocktails. Like at Lime Out, the crew will phone in your orders earlier in the day to have the food ready shortly after we arrive. You can choose to eat on our vessel or swim over and lounge on one of their floats while enjoying your lunch.

For guests who want to make the most of their day and maximize boat time, we offer a delicious and convenient onboard lunch option. Our Build Your Own Sandwich spread, prepared fresh by a local deli, allows you to enjoy a satisfying meal without interrupting your day of adventure. This popular choice includes:

  • A bountiful spread for building your own custom sandwiches and wraps.
  • Two freshly prepared salads.
  • Delicious cookies for dessert.

This flexible lunch option, available for $25 per person, ensures you can continue enjoying water activities, sunbathing, or simply relaxing on the boat while savoring a tasty meal. It’s perfect for groups with varied tastes or dietary needs.

  • Scenic Return: You’ve had an amazing day — this is the perfect time to sit back and enjoy the ride with your friends and family.
  • Onboard Refreshments: Enjoy the open bar and fresh bites while cruising back.
  • Simple Checkout Process: A crew member will approach the primary guest to review the day’s charges and process the remaining balance making the check out quick and easy.

4:00 PM

Your day on the water is complete!

Arrive Back in St. John (or St. Thomas)

  • Return to Cruz Bay, St. John, concluding your unforgettable USVI charter experience.

• Customization: This itinerary is flexible. Discuss your preferences with the captain to tailor the day to your group’s interests.

• National Park Regulations: St. John has restrictions on anchoring areas, but there are plenty of mooring balls available at various locations.

This includes restrictions on where we can pick you up to start your trip. As mentioned, our primary pick-up is Cruz Bay, but please inquire with us if you would like to request other options, such as a beach pick-up at the Westin in Great Cruz Bay.

• Wildlife Respect: When snorkeling, especially with sea turtles, please maintain a respectful distance and follow the guidance of the captain and crew.
