This vibrant and iconic floating taco bar in Coral Bay, St. John, USVI, is the perfect place to pause, soak up the sunshine, enjoy a tasty lunch, and sip on a refreshing beverage.

For those joining our shared catamaran excursion, Lime Out is the perfect midday stop on your journey circumnavigating St. John. After an exciting morning of snorkeling and swimming, it’s the ideal place to refuel and relax before continuing on to the next snorkel and swim stop.

10:15 AM

Nat’l Park Dock in Cruz Bay

Voodoo pulls up to the National Park Dock at 10:30 AM.

  • Departure: Meet us at the National Park Dock across from Mongoose Junction in Cruz Bay, St. John. Voodoo will pull up when it is her turn at about 10:30, and we suggest you get there by 10:15am and wait near the children’s play area.
  • Onboarding: The crew will help you step onboard from the dock as you set out on your full day adventure. You can stow away your belongings in the salon once aboard Voodoo.

    🩴 You’ll deposit your shoes in a bin for safe keeping until the trip is over — you won’t be needing them until the end of the day!
  • Make yourself at home: After boarding, settle into the shaded salon if you’d like a break from the sun, or pop up one level and find a cozy spot on the mid-deck for panoramic views. Pop up another level if you wish and join the captain as we cruise along St. John’s gorgeous North Shore.
  • Safety briefing: The captain provides a quick safety overview before departure.

The captain and crew are always happy to answer questions about the areas you’re cruising by, sharing local stories and fun facts about the island they call home.

We cordially invite you to take in the moment and the promise of the day ahead:

  • Settle in and soak it up as we cruise the North Shore of St. John: As we make our way to the first snorkel/swim spot you can relax with the cool breeze in your face and perhaps find a spot to recline on the comfortable sun bed. You’ll have the space to do as you wish, all day.
  • Refreshments onboard: Grab some fresh fruit from the fruit board in the salon or have our crew make you a refreshing drink to start the day, the bar is open from start to finish and our crew are always happy to get you whatever you need. Cold filtered water is also available on tap at the bar, so refill as needed and please stay hydrated!
  • Connect with fellow travelers: Since you’ll be sharing the boat with people you don’t know yet, strike up a conversation and make yourself a new vacation friend for the day.  It’s often amazing how small the world is when you start chatting about where you’re from and what you do.  Of course, you have common great taste as you chose to spend the day with Voodoo to explore the beautiful Virgin Islands.
  • And be on the lookout for marine wildlife! Even from the boat, you might spot sea turtles surfacing for air, nurse sharks gliding below, or vibrant schools of fish. You might even catch sight of a ray — any one of the many different types that call the Virgin Islands home.

11:00 AM

The pool is open!

Snorkel Stop #1 (and usually #2) on North Shore of St. John

  • We’ll scope out a beautiful snorkeling spot (or 2) on the North Shore. Frequently Mermaids Chair, Maho Bay or Waterlemon Cay are our spots of choice; all stunning places to snorkel, swim, float, and simply enjoy.
  • Once we have secured a spot at our first stop, the “pool is open”: The crew will drop the water stairs and there will be ample time to explore for all.
  • Explore St. John’s underwater world: We’ll outfit you with snorkel gear so you can take some time to swim with the fish and turtles that occupy the waters around St. John.
  • If snorkeling is not your thing (or you just want a hang):
  • Feel free to grab a pool noodle and float in the water.
  • Sit on one of the 2 water swings that hang next to the stairs or maybe just stay on the boat and relax.
  • You are free to lay on the trampoline nets and kick back on one of the comfortable bean bags. ⚠ Warning: you may never want to get up.
  • If time permits (it often does): We’ll fit in a second snorkeling stop before lunch, usually close to Pelican Rock near Hanson Beach on the east end.
  • Onward to the namesake of our trip: Once everyone is back on the boat, we will head off towards our lunch destination, Lime Out! While underway, feel free to look at our collection of Voodoo merchandise for purchase. Grab a hat, SPF rash guard, t-shirt or other items and let the crew know which group you are with and they can add it directly to your booking.

You have arrived

Lime Out, St. John USVI!

  • Avoid the lunch rush: We’ll arrive a bit later in the day which mean the usual lunch crowd has settled down, giving you a much more relaxed experience.
  • Pre-ordered tacos and lunch onboard: After the first snorkel stop, the crew will take everyone’s taco orders and call them in, ensuring hot, fresh tacos are delivered within 15 minutes of arrival. Find a cozy spot on the boat to enjoy your meal as the crew distributes tacos to each group.
  • Swim over & explore, cocktails & more: Once lunch is over, the water stairs are down again, allowing you to swim over to Lime Out and relax on their lily pad floats if you wish. Lime Out offers specialty cocktails and merchandise, so bring a credit card if you’d like to make a purchase during your swim.

2:30 PM

More pool time, more you time

Snorkel Stop #3 (and maybe even #4) on the South Shore of St. John

  • More snorkel stops towards the South Shore of St. John: After everyone has full tummies, we’ll resume our journey circumnavigating St. John with one or two additional snorkeling and swim stops. Depending on conditions and the time remaining, we’ll usually choose spots like Salt Pond, Little or Great Lameshur, or Tektite.
  • Unwind, explore more, dive in or don’t : Feel free to jump back in the water for more snorkeling, swimming, swinging, and floating. Carrying on and just relaxing in the comfort of Voodoo is also a good option. In this spectacular environment, you simply can’t go wrong.
  • Open bar continues: The bar remains open all afternoon so be sure to ask when you’re ready for another refreshing cocktail, cold beer, wine, soda, or juice.

❗Remember to stay hydrated: There’s a spout with cold, filtered water at the bar — help yourself to a glass anytime. With the Caribbean sun, hydration is key!

4:00 PM

All good things must…

Final Cruise Back to Cruz Bay

  • As our day with you draws to a close: On the last leg of the journey, the crew will confer with the head of each group and close out your tab for the day.  Please review your charges with them as they will have added your Lime Out order and any merchandise purchases to your booking.
  • Grateful for the crew: We feel our crew are the best and we hope you will agree — now is a great time to add a gratuity to your credit card or tip in cash if you prefer.
  • Check Your Belongings: As we round the last corner and pull back in to Cruz Bay, we will have everyone look around and make sure they have all of their belongings.
  • Arrive at the National Park Dock: We will pull up to the National Park Dock at 4:30 and crew will again help you step across to the dock.
  • Collect Your Shoes: You’ll need these again, we suppose. The crew will have all shoes laid out on the dock for you to slip into and continue your evening. You’ll be right in the heart of St. John’s charming downtown, so enjoy!
