Did you know…?
Norman Island in the BVI is said to have inspired Robert Louis Stevenson’s pirate novel, Treasure Island. It’s a perfect backdrop for exploration and adventure!
We’ll circle back to this, but first…
VOODOO is Back in the Water!
After some well-deserved off-season R&R (a.k.a. annual maintenance), our signature catamaran is all freshened up and set to deliver the premium experience you should expect on a day exploring the Virgin Islands. As we head into the busy season, there’s no better time than now to book your incredible day with us.
Lime Out Just Reopened for the Season Last Week!
This world-renowned floating taco bar, accessible only by boat in Coral Bay, serves up fresh, creative taco combinations and offers a fun, laid-back atmosphere complete with floating lily pads — it’s a must-visit on any USVI trip.
Our Laid Back Lime Out shared excursion takes you there after a few swim and snorkel stops, building up your appetite and arriving just after the peak lunch rush for a more relaxed experience with fewer crowds. We’ll pre-order your chosen tacos so you can enjoy lunch at leisure on our comfy catamaran.
Then we’ll drop the water stairs so you can swim over, hang out on Lime Out’s floating lily pads, grab a drink (and more tacos or some merch, if you’d like), and simply soak in the fun. When all is said and done, we’ll move onward for more swim and snorkel stops!
Oh, and of course…
Happy Halloween!🎃🏴☠️
Arrrr You In the Loop on Pirate Fashion?
So, those classic pirate costume features, the iconic tricorn hat and eye patch? Turns out there was purpose behind those fashion statements:
Tricorn hats acted like gutters, keeping rain off pirates’ faces while the brims stayed clear of their line of sight. (Huh, makes sense.)
And the eye patches? They weren’t just for those who lost an eye. Theories suggest they helped pirates adjust their vision when moving between the dark interior of the ship and the bright sunlight above.
Now you know. Share at your own risk.
Last-minute Halloween Inspiration?
Embrace the spirit of Treasure Island and your future trip to the Virgin Islands with these two main characters:

You may see VOODOO in the picture below at the Indians of Norman Island. But can you spot one of our guests?
(hint: snorkeling)
“…full of sea-dreams and the most charming anticipations of strange islands and adventures.”
— Jim Hawkins, Treasure Island.
Channel a bit of Norman Island’s storied past… and it’s vibrant waters
Pirate or not, as you plan your group’s adventures we invite you to consider the BVI. Both our private and shared BVI excursions make stops at the stunning snorkel spots around the Norman Islands like the Indians, the Caves, and the Aquarium.
