Newsletter: October 2025

Yes, it’s really October. Good news is the tide of off-season is going out and our favorite local spots are unbattening the hatches once again! Soon it will be full on-season for the holidays.
North Shore Deli just opened back up on Wednesday (Oct 1) and we’re counting down for our three shared trip anchors: Lime Out in less than two weeks, Pizza Pi in about a month, and Soggy Dollar this weekend!
Also, due to popular demand, we’re opening up a slot for a shared Lime Out trip during Christmas week…

A Rare Holiday Opening!
By popular demand, we’re offering our shared Lime Out trip during a week typically reserved for private charters. No need to book the whole boat, no need to plan a thing. Just write this date in your calendar for a grand holi-day on the water.

Coral Bay’s floating taco bar is back in less than two weeks. Your taco fix can now be fixed proper along with a crisp, cold beverage, in the sunshine or shade, floating on their lily pads or lounging on our catamaran.

Our Laid-Back Lime Out shared trip starts off with a full morning of snorkeling and swimming on the north shore, then around the east end to Coral Bay for lunch at Lime Out and a much needed mid-afternoon break. We’ll take advantage of our refueled bodies with more snorkeling and swimming on the south shore en route back to Cruz Bay.
Private
On private charters, if we’re circumnavigating St. John, lunch at Lime Out is the perfect halftime break for a laid back yet action packed day around the island of St. John. First half we’ll usually go north and east finding spots like Mermaids Chair, Maho Bay or Waterlemon Cay. Second half we’ll head west along the south shore for spots like Salt Pond, Little or Great Lamsher, or Tektite.

Christmas Cove’s floating pizzeria is firing up the ovens again in about a month. Fresh-baked pies delivered straight from the sailboat kitchen to our anchor nearby. Turtles, schools of colorful fish, maybe a dolphin or a ray… the usual suspects will likely be in this coral neightborhood for our pizza pool party.

Our Snorkel, Sunset & Pizza Pi shared trip leaves Cruz Bay at 12 pm for an easy afternoon of snorkeling and exploring, then drops anchor at Pizza Pi for an early dinner around 4:30 pm. After slices, swims, and maybe a beverage or two, we cruise back home toward St. John to watch the sky light up and fade into sunset.
Private
Pizza Pi is a favorite when we’re exploring the reefs and islands near St. Thomas like Great and Little St. James, Water Island, Buck Island. Snorkel, float, swim, grab a pie, relax, lounge, and hop back in the water. We’re on your time here, and it’s the timeless kind.

Jost’s celebrated Soggy Dollar bar opens in just a few days! We can’t say we haven’t missed having a Painkiller while we hang shoreside and riff to some reggae or kick it to some Kenny. Nothing like cruising right up to the beautiful White Bay Beach, walking down a few stairs, and into the turquoise to have ourselves a beach day and a Painkiller (or two… or three).

On our BVI Snorkel and White Bay — Jost Van Dyke shared trip, we’ll have a beauteous beach day after we hit up Norman Island for snorkeling at spots like The Caves, The Aquarium, and The Indians. An overdue Painkiller at Soggy, then a wander around to find our feet some shady spots of cool white sand, maybe a game of cornhole, maybe take a nap… maybe one more Painkiller.
Private
On BVI private trips, beach time at White Bay on Jost is usually a staple of the day. One way or another, we tend to fit in a Painkiller at Soggy after a snorkel at Norman, a swim at Sandy, a leap at Willy T, maybe a bite at Pirates Bight, Cooper, or Scrub… Virgin Gorda and the Baths if we’re really going all in.
Let’s have lunch! We’ll pick you up.
Until then,
The Voodoo Crew
