These are the stops that make a great day without ever leaving the St. Thomas orbit. Definitely varied enough to satisfy a full day, and close enough to fit plenty into a half day. - Water Island / Dinghy’s: A beautiful beach with lunch right on the shore.
- Buck Island: A wildlife refuge and one of the best turtle snorkel spots in the area. There’s no access to island itself.
- Christmas Cove: Excellent snorkeling in calm water. Floating and swimming, also great. Also, Pizza Pi lives here, so a it’s a great lunch spot too!

These are the stops that give the day a little more reach without asking too much of it. This range brings in the near side of St. John like the charming Cruz Bay and the north shore beaches with some of the best snorkeling in the Virgin Islands.
- Caneel, Hawksnest, Trunk, Maho, and Francis: north shore beaches with calm water, great snorkeling, and reliable turtle sightings.
- Lovango: Restaurant and snorkeling just north of the near side of St. John
