Ready to dive into exotic waters, relax on a lively white sand beach, and add a new stamp to your passport, all on one day charter?

Join Voodoo Charters as we explore the British Virgin Islands on our beautiful 57’ custom-built power catamaran, VOODOO.  This shared BVI charter will allow you to experience highlights like a snorkel at Norman Island and a beach day at White Bay, Jost Van Dyke, all at a per person rate.  You may be surprised and walk away with not only lifelong memories but new vacation friends as well.

Note: Don’t forget to bring passports with you on the day of the charter! In order to join us on this excursion each member of your group will need to have a valid passport and complete a waiver with this passport information before boarding the boat.

The World Famous Soggy Dollar Bar

You’ll definitely want to stop by when we get to Jost Van Dyke!

It is said that 1970, an English Bartender found herself on White Bay and opened an open-air bar that did not have a name. There was no road to get travelers to her establishment by land, and no docks for boaters to use, but this did not deter thirsty boaters. They would anchor in the bay and swim in, paying for their painkillers with the soggy dollars in their pockets… and the Soggy Dollar was born.

The Soggy Dollar Bar is renowned for its signature Painkiller cocktail, a delightful blend of rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut, topped with freshly grated nutmeg.

It’s truly amazing to watch the bartenders line up cup after cup and serve the Virgin Islands’s famous drink to thirsty patrons — it’s a show unto itself! Enjoy the traditional recipe or switch things up with a “Nilla Killa” made with Vanilla rum. You can even take some of their Soggy Dollar Bar rum home with you as they sell bottles in the shop and even online.

Arrive at Tortola, BVI

Stop #1: Customs and Chill

We take care of this while you enjoy the boat and water

  • Captain gets you checked in: We will arrive at the Tortola Customs office and secure the boat on a mooring.  The Captain will then hop in the dinghy to head over to the Customs office to check all guests and crew in for the day.  While the whole process usually takes about an hour, you will be surprised how fast the time passes for all who are on the boat.
  • Float and chill: The water stairs will be dropped, noodles provided for floating and the famous water swings will be hung so you can relax and maybe get that Instagram shot. 
    You can feel free to hop in the water to cool off or hang out on the boat in our many comfortable lounge spots, including our sunbed or bean bags on the nets out front.
  • We’re here to serve you: The crew will be there to take care of you by refreshing drinks and setting up our “boutique” so you can get some Voodoo Charters gear. You’ll get to put it to good use during your day, then take it home with you for a great souvenir of your trip.

Settle in and relax as you wish as we head to the BVI Customs office in Tortola. After the crew has collected all the passports…

  • The bar is open the entire day and the crew will be ready to serve you a refreshing beverage of your choice.

    🚰 Cold, filtered water is always available from the tap at the bar — help yourself anytime and remember to stay hydrated throughout the day!
  • Help yourself to a selection of fresh fruit and find your perfect spot to kick off the trip. Grab a padded bench or stretch out on the sunbed and soak in the views, the vibe, and the voyage ahead.
  • Take a moment to chat with your fellow passengers — many lasting vacation friendships have started right here on our boat.
  • As we cruise along to our BVI destinations, the captain and crew will share interesting stories and highlight the landmarks we pass along the way.

Let’s Explore!

Swim and Snorkel Norman Island

  • Once our homework is finished: After all paperwork is complete and the Captain returns to the boat, we will cruise over towards Norman Island to find our snorkel spot. 
  • We’ll choose the ideal spot: The Captain will find a spot at the Indians, the Caves or the Aquarium where we can secure the boat and safely let guests dive in to explore the colorful beauty of the underwater world. 
  • We’ll get you situated: The crew will assist everyone with getting outfitted with snorkel gear, we have top of the line equipment and even have kids sizes. 
  • Dive Into an Underwater Wonderland: Immerse yourself in the colorful waters exploring coral reefs teeming with tropical wildlife. Keep an eye out for turtles gliding gracefully through the blue and other touches of magic as you snorkel, swim, and float to your heart’s content.
  • Easy in and out as you wish: The boat remains ready to welcome you back when you are ready for a break. 

    ⭐ Our water stairs make entering and exiting the water a breeze even for guests with mobility issues so everyone can enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the pristine blue waters. 
  • More fun and adventure: Depending on the time and other boaters in the area, we may move to a second snorkel location so that everyone has ample opportunity to explore.  If the area is too crowded, the captain may choose to skip a second snorkel at Norman and head over to Sandy Spit for another fun swim stop.

❗Remember to stay hydrated:
There’s a spout with cold, filtered water at the bar — help yourself to a glass anytime.

To the beach!

White Sands of White Bay on Jost Van Dyke

  • Relax, snack, and cruise to Jost: Once we have everyone back on the boat, we will journey over to White Bay on Jost Van Dyke. Snorkeling can make some a little hungry, so the crew will set out a snack of veggies, crackers and dip as we travel.

    You will want to gather just a couple things in preparation to get off and enjoy your beach stop:
  • The bars and restaurants on White Bay are casual so swimsuits and coverups are acceptable everywhere.
  • All places are on the sand so shoes are not needed. 
  • Grab cash or a credit card so you can enjoy some lunch or a cocktail while on the beach.
  • A white sand afternoon: The Captain will pull the boat right up to the beach and the crew will drop the water stairs so you can disembark into ankle deep water and step onto the soft white sand on White Bay. 

    Feel free to explore the beach area, eat lunch, shop and relax as you wish throughout the afternoon.  
  • Take it all in: Walk the beach and explore. Take some time to sit on the beach. Play in the surf. Enjoy these spectacular tropical ocean views!
  • There are about half a dozen restaurants that you can choose from to grab a bite to eat, and…

Now is your chance to visit the World Famous Soggy Dollar Bar!

Home again, home again

Comfort Cruise to Customs in Cruz Bay, St. John

  • Meet back up: We’ll meet back at the same spot where you were dropped off on the beach and board the boat to return to the US Virgin Islands Customs office in Cruz Bay for check-in.
  • While we cruise back: The crew will come around to settle up your final payments: The second half of your booking, customs fees, and merch purchases will be added to your credit card on file.
  • Love for the crew: We believe our crew is exceptional, and we hope that was your experience of them too. If you’d like to show your gratitude, this is the perfect time to add a gratuity to your credit card or offer a cash tip, whichever you prefer.
  • Check Your Belongings: You will also want to take a minute to gather your belongings in preparation for departure. 
  • US Customs: We will arrive at the Customs dock in Cruz Bay, St. John. The crew will return passports to guests and help you on to the dock where your shoes will be waiting.  We will enter the Customs office in groups and be admitted by the officers.
  • Enjoy St. John! After exiting the building you can go off to your car or villa, or head right over into St. John’s charming downtown for a splendid evening out and about.

Boating in the Virgin Islands varies based on the current weather conditions. Itineraries may change slightly on any given trip. We appreciate guest’s flexibility and we guarantee you a great day on the water!
