    Types of BVI Catamaran Charters and Itineraries

    Voodoo Charters offers two primary ways to experience the British Virgin Islands, designed to suit different group sizes and preferences:

    Shared BVI Charter with Captain and Crew

    On shared trips, the itinerary is pre-set by Voodoo Charters, allowing you to visit top spots of the British Virgin Islands with other groups at a set per-person rate.

    • Perfect for: Shared trips are great for solo adventurers, couples, small families and groups looking to have a great time with like-minded travelers.
    • Catamaran: You’ll be enjoying our M/V VOODOO catamaran with plenty of space to socialize, or split away.
    • Capacity: M/V VOODOO comfortably accommodates groups from 2 to 49 guests.
    • Departure: Shared BVI trips will depart from Cruz Bay, St. John at 9:00 AM and return at 5:00 PM. Pickups for M/V VOODOO BVI trips are generally at the International Park Dock in Cruz Bay, St. John.
    BVI Shared Charter Itinerary:

    Snorkel & White Bay — Jost Van Dyke:

    Shared trips include a snorkel stop or few near Norman Island (The Indians, Caves, or Aquarium) and solid beach time at White Bay, Jost Van Dyke.

    Private BVI Charter with Captain and Crew

    A private charter offers you the entire boat to yourselves, an exclusive day to relax and explore on your own schedule.

    • Perfect for: Private trips are ideal for families, special celebrations like weddings, corporate events, reunions, birthdays, or even couples seeking an intimate experience.
    • Catamarans and Capacity: Private BVI charters are available on both M/V VOODOO (for up to 49 guests) and M/V VORADO (for up to 12 guests).

      * For even larger groups, we can combine both vessels for a tandem trip, accommodating up to 60 guests with advance planning.
    • Departures: Private BVI trips generally depart from the International Park dock in Cruz Bay, St. John.
    • Alternative pickup options for private charters are available upon request:

      From St. John: Beach pickup at Great Cruz Bay near the Westin St. John are another great option.

      From St. Thomas: Popular pick-up spots include Red Hook (American Yacht Harbor), Yacht Haven Grande, Crown Bay Marina, and Magens Bay.

    From Jost Van Dyke and Norman Island to stops at Sandy Cay, Willy T, or a venture out to Virgin Gorda. Together we’ll craft the day that will suit your group just right.

    • Had an awesome day out with Captain Chris form St. Thomas to Jost Van Dyke on Vorado. He did a great job curating the trip given the sea conditions, and our group of 10 had an awesome time. They were extremely attentive bringing drinks and making sure we were taken care of

    • What an amazing day visiting BVI. From Pirates Bight to the Soggy Dollar, it was a great day on the water. Mason and Elizabeth were extremely attentive to our needs and our safety. We had a small group and met many new friends. Laughter and memories were plentiful. I highly recommend a trip on the Voodoo!!!

    • Just GO!! I’ve been on a few charters in the Virgin Islands and this was by far the BEST!! The boat is new and there’s tons of room to put your stuff, multiple seating areas (with shade thankfully), and 2 very nice bathrooms. They serve amazing drinks and the food was incredible. They don’t just throw a bag of chips at you. They had cut veggies with dip and great fruit. We snorkeled the Indians then went to White Bay for lunch. It was the highlight of our trip and we made some new friends too! Shout out to Capt Chris,Deb, Steve and the crew. The pic I posted has the boat in the background so you can see it.     On BVI days where further travel, snorkels, swims, and beach time are the itinerary, VOODOO keeps large groups comfortable and in a state of ease.

    Private charters only

    1 – 12 guests

    A smooth, stable catamaran for up to 12 with 360-degree views, a low swim platform and wide ladder, soft flooring, and a delightfully stocked cooler. The single-level layout keeps movement simple for kids and older guests.

    VORADO’s speed and efficiency make longer BVI travel easy, so your group can get to where you want to be.

    Important Reminders for Your Trip

    • Passport Required: All passengers must have a valid passport to travel to the British Virgin Islands, as you will be entering a foreign country and receiving a new stamp.
    • Your Waiver and Customs Clearance: Guests must clear through the BVI Customs Office with their waivers (details provided to you upon booking).

      To ensure a smooth process, completed waivers with passport information for each passenger are required at least 24 hours before your trip.
    • Customs Fees: BVI customs fees are charged per person and will be added to your booking, with the total billed to the card on file on the day of your excursion.
    • Weather Flexibility: Boating itineraries in the Virgin Islands may change slightly based on current weather conditions.

      While Voodoo Charters has a “rain or shine” policy, weather-based cancellations are determined at the Captain’s sole discretion on the day of the trip, not before.

    What’s Included on Your BVI Trip?

    • Water: Filtered, cold drinking water is always available to keep you hydrated throughout the day.
    • Fruit Platter: Enjoy a fresh fruit platter prepared by the crew upon arrival.
    • Snack Board: A snack board with dip, veggies, and crackers is provided on BVI full-day trips, typically after snorkeling.
    • Snorkel Gear: Top-of-the-line snorkeling equipment, including kid sizes, is provided. Pool noodles and floats are also available for your enjoyment.
    • Open Bar: A full open bar is available for the entire trip, with a variety of beverages and cocktail options.
    • Captain & Crew: An experienced Captain and dedicated crew are included, ready to serve you throughout the day and be your guides to the BVI. They also handle all customs clearance processes. You relax or even jump in the water as we take care of the paperwork.
    • Fuel: Fuel is included in the base rate, though additional fuel fees may apply for certain destinations like Virgin Gorda or custom pick-ups.

    What to Bring

    • Passport (reiterating because it’s important)!
    • Sunscreen (no aerosol or tinted sunscreen please).
    • A towel.
    • Cash or a credit card to purchase food, drinks, and merchandise while on the beach at White Bay, Jost Van Dyke.
    • Yep, that’s it!
